Some of us have reached that point in our lives where we have retired and are looking forward to those dreams of travelling the world. As trips are planned, one thing that many dont account for is finding the best travel insurance for elderly travelers. Because insurance companies fear that older people are a greater risk, rates tend to go up proportionately to the age of the person being insured. However, the term elderly doesnt really have a defined age so the first thing you need to do when looking for a policy is ask, at what age is there a price change when it comes to travel insurance for the elderly?
A consensus seems to be that at the age of 60 a person is considered elderly in the insurance world. Unfortunately, travel insurance for seniors see a rate increase at this point even if they are in better shape and health than someone half their age.
When it comes to any travel insurance, there are certain things that your policy needs to cover. Travel insurance for elderly people is no different.

Credit cards are lost or stolen every day. Unfortunately, not every card user notices its absence immediately. Usually, credit issuers provide some level of purchase protection. Most cards provide a basic level that limits financial liability, but purchase protection insurance plans can extend security even further.
If a lost or stolen credit card is used in the commission of a crime—fraud, for instance, the registered card holder may be granted funds for legal fees, provided the card holder reports the loss or theft.
A purchase protection plan may offer funds to replace cash lost, too, when a wallet is lost or stolen, which may, in turn, help maintain an excellent credit history by paying at least the minimum balance due.
Only one telephone number is required to report lost or stolen cards. If people don’t have the number memorised, often hotels, banks and retailers may be able to provide a customer service number.
If a consumer’s card information is used for an Internet purchase, both interest free credit cards and interest-bearing cards provide excellent security through purchase protection plans. F Read more…

There’s hope still of getting it restored, but if you look at the post below this one and it appears that I haven’t posted since April 6: no, I just lost (temporarily I hope) two weeks of posts to an Amazon EC2 problem. The cloud computing has temporarily swallowed my last 10 posts and your last three dozen or so comments. I’m really sorry, especially if you added comments … but the good news is that we hope it will all be back again, including your comments, in a few more hours.
You may have heard about what happened today. It affected a lot of major sites, and was written up in TechCrunch. This Google search will give you an idea. Foursquare, Reddit, Quora, and others went down … including me.
As I write this, late Thursday evening, April 21, our tech team and the Amazon team expect to restore things so I get my posts and your comments back. And, when that happens, this post will magically disappear.

The New York State Insurance Department posted an [interim report] of the Insurance Filings Modernization Initiative on April 21. The specific recommendations this report discusses that are particularly relevant to life insurers are: the updated [product outlines]; the use of SERFF for post-approval reviews; significant contact with the industry (See our for information on the upcoming Life and Health Compliance Association meeting at which representatives of both the Life Bureau and Health Bureaus will be speaking); and the use of sanctions against companies that do not use the certified process appropriately.
This last item is one that virtually all companies that use the certified process fear. However, it was one of the recommendations of the Life Committee, because the only way to keep the process working well is to make sure that the requirements for certified filings are clear and then to enforce those requirements consistently. One of the constant tensions with the process is that companies want two things that are naturally in conflict with one another. F

In front of a group of children, puppet shows can present fables with a moral of the story, teach different subjects using puppetry as the medium, and entertain the children with skits, comedy, and music. Puppet shows, the traditional children’s entertainment, are back in demand with the same techniques but with a host of new stories, contemporary topics, and of course dolls and puppets that attract todays generation.
Says one puppeteer, From birthday parties to traditional events and even at the summer camps, the demand for puppet shows is increasing day by day. In fact, many of the parents are preferring to go for puppet shows as compared to magic shows just because of the storytelling aspect involved in it.
For any art to survive, changing with the times is something very important, and children’s birthday puppet shows are no different. Today, puppet shows are also a common feature in schools, library shows, and other events featuring kid’s entertainment. One such place that holds regular puppet shows has recorded an increase in the number of children of all ages watching the shows. Read more…

TEMPE, AZ–(E&E Exhibit Solutions April 13, 2011) – No matter the current economic climate, smart trade show and event marketers continually look for ways to reduce costs and improve return on investment. However, the cost of custom displays can quickly escalate beyond your budget. This year, consider custom trade show booth rentals and save about 60 percent on your display budget.
While show management companies do offer booth rental kits at a fraction of the cost of custom booths, these basic kits lack the ability to be customized to your specific functional needs — which may include interactive kiosks, large presentation areas or conference rooms — in addition to not adequately showcasing your corporate images and brand messaging. Frankly, show management booth rentals look rented. Protect your brand image with trade show booth rentals that can be customized to look purchased at a third of the cost. Custom trade show booth rentals look like you own your display without the same financial investment.
Four Reasons Trade Show Display Rentals are the Smart Choice:
